Nach unserer App MatheFindIt haben wir uns gedacht, man kann das gleich auch kollaborativ gestalten, indem man die Karten auf zwei unterschiedliche Devices (also zwei Kinder / iPads) verteilt. Herausgekommen ist die App MathPairs:

Rechnen lernen und Spaß dabei haben? Und das auch noch zu zweit?
Dann ist dies die ideale App für Kinder im Volksschulalter, um Addieren und Subtrahieren zu üben.
MathePairs wird auf 2 iPads installiert. Nachdem sich beide Geräte im gleichen Netzwerk befinden oder beide Bluetooth eingeschaltet haben, kann die App gestartet, die Verbindung hergestellt und das Spiel begonnen werden!
Durch Verschieben der Schnecke kann die Kartenanzahl ausgewählt werden. Die Luftblasen starten das Spiel in unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsstufen.
Der erste Spieler deckt eine Karte auf und sagt dem anderen die Rechnung (oder das Ergebnis) und der zweite Spieler muss das Ergebnis (oder die Rechnung) dazu finden. Jedes richtige Kartenpaar wird mit einem lachenden Smiley und einem fröhlichen “Yeah”-Sound belohnt.

[Android] MathMemory

Über die iPhone App MatheMemory hab ich bereits hier berichtet. Im Rahmen einer Bachelorarbeit haben wir es jetzt auch für Android-Gerät umgesetzt. Wir freuen uns wie immer auf Einsatzberichte und Rückmeldungen:

The MatheMemory App allows children to start learning mathematic playfully. Behind the memory cards with funny motifs hide tricky plus and minus calculations and results. The Goal is to find the right results to the according calculations. Different stages provide different levels of difficulty and balloons signal the number of cards. Both can be easily selected. Wether in the jungle or in the circus, nothing is blocking the funny calculating!
Depending on the level, the numbers are between 0 and 50. Addition and subtraction are used. Finding the right calculation and result pairs is rewarded with funny motifs and sounds and thus positive associated.

[iPhone App] MatheMemory

Eine weiter iPhone-App entwickelt von einem Studierenden an der TU Graz hat den Weg in den App Store geschafft: MatheMemory. Ein Spiel mit dem wir versuchen wollen Lernen (einfaches Addieren) und Freude (Memory) zu verbinden. Es gibt auch mehrere Schwierigkeitsstufen sowohl bei der Addition als auch bei der Anzahl der Karten. Wie immer freuen wir uns sehr über Feedback 🙂 .

[iPhone App] MemoryAccessible

Die nächste App der heurigen Vorlesung “AK Medientechnologien – iPhone Development” ist ab sofort im App-Store verfügbar. Diese App soll Personen mit Einschränkung helfen sich spielend zu verbessern. Die Idee zu dieser App ist Teil einer Doktorarbeit an der TU Graz und wird auch in der Praxis nun erprobt:

The gameplay of this application is based on the well-known memory game. The remarkable thing is that this game supports several modes. The entry can be done with the standard touch the buttons or playing cards or by tilt steering. The output is graphically or acoustically. During the acoustic Version will be issued all game actions, so the navigation and the whole game can be performed without looking at the screen. Also in the presentation of images, there are choices. Thus, with normal or simple images or symbols to be played. The contrast setting provides a more Ability to configure. The player may at any time decide whether a simple, medium or difficult game should be started, which differ in each case the number of pairs of cards. in the simple game are 6 cards in the middle game of 12 cards and 20 cards in the game serious before.
