Here we go again – almost like a tradition, today marks the start of the MOOC on „Social Aspects of Information Technology,“ which I first offered in 2014.
Everything is new in 2026 – every single video has been remade, the content has been turned upside down, and the production styles are also heavily influenced by AI capabilities. And as an addition, for the first time in a MOOC on iMooX.at, there is also just the audio track offered. So podcasts on YouTube, Spotify or Amazon, if you like. The video production team also tried out a lot of things and we have made other variants available in the MOOC as well.
In terms of content, I have taken a slightly different approach. Instead of interviews with experts, we have prepared (historical) examples that show how innovations became everyday applications and what challenges they faced. From this, you can learn how to deal with today’s digital innovations.
