[call] iKnow 2010 und ECTEL 2010

Der Call for Papers sowohl für die iKnow 2010 hier in Graz

I-KNOW 2010 brings together international researchers (in the English speaking scientific part) and practitioners (in the German speaking Praxisforum) from the fields of knowledge management and knowledge technologies. Opening and closing keynotes and a conference-wide exhibition complete the I-KNOW conference program.

ECTEL 2010 will bring together technological developments, learning models, and implementations of new and innovative approaches to training and education. The conference will explore how the synergy of multiple disciplines, ranging from Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Cognitive Science, and Social Science, can provide new, more effective and more especially more sustainable, technology-enhanced learning solutions to learning problems. The conference welcomes researchers and developers from European and Non-European countries and industries to present recent advancements from technologies, applications, and learning models in all areas of technology enhanced learning.

[video] Erweiterung von Multitouch?

Die Diskussionen wie man Multitouch erweitern könnte, damit man das Mobiltelefon mit einer Hand bedienen kann, gibt es schon länger – kippen kannte ich auch schon bzw. hatte dies am Nokia auch schon als Protoyp verfügbar. Quetschen hingegen ist mir neu, mal sehen ob dies tatsächlich eine Möglichkeit ist:

Der guardian hat ein Interview gemacht mit Danah Boyd (Social Media Researcher at Microsoft Research New England ) – rund um das Thema „Digital Natives“, wo sie beschreibt dass,

There’s nothing native about young people’s engagement with technology

Sie sieht es vielmehr so:

Young people are learning, they’re learning about the social world around them,“ she says. „The social world around them today has mediated technologies, thus in order to learn about the social world they’re learning about the mediated technologies. And they’re leveraging that to work out the shit that kids have always worked out: peer sociality, status, their first crush.“

Ich stimme dem eigentlich weitgehend zu, es ist einfach zu beobachten, dass die Technologie vorhanden ist und dadurch sich Verhalten anpasst – aber letztendlich ist das soziale Verhalten immer gleich. Auch eine starke Zunahme an Wissen rund um neue Internettechnolgien konnten wir bisher kaum beobachten. Das Netz ist da und wird genutzt, das ist und bleibt ein nüchternes Faktum.
