Im Rahmen einer Projektarbeit haben wir versucht eine sehr einfache, simple App zu erstellen, welche hilft OER-Arbeitsblätter zu erstellen:
The app wOERksheets allows teachers to create work sheets for their students containing a creative commons license. The created work sheet may be exported as a PDF file.
Each work sheet contains a fixed border, header (Name, Class, Date) and a configurable creative commons license. Beside text it is also possible to include images from the devices‘ photo library. The text may also contain simple formatting options (Bold, Italic, Underlined, Alignment, List, Font). Changing the color of the whole worksheet is also possible.
The created work sheets are designed to be used as OER (Open Educational Resources) in the lectures.
[video] 360 Grad Videos mit dem iPhone #tugraz
In den Weihnachtsferien hab ich mir eine 360 Grad Kamera (Insta 360) für das iPhone gekauft. Ist eigentlich wie ein Aufsatz und kann zwar auch ohne iPhone bedient werden, aber mit der zugehörigen App ist es einfach netter.
Nach der Aufnahme, kann das Video dann auf verschiedensten sozialen Medien publiziert und wenn diese 360 Grad untestützen es dort auch als solches angesehen werden.

[imoox] Frohe Weihnachten mit einem 360° Trailer über Klettern #imoox #tugraz #klettern
Ich darf mich in die Weihnachts- und Neujahrspause mit einem spannend Trailer verabschieden und zeigen was wir u.a. im Jahr 2017 vorhaben. Wir wollen erstmals einen MOOC bei iMooX anbieten, der mit 360° Videos arbeitet und haben uns das Thema Klettern ausgesucht. Also erstmals ein MOOC zu Klettern und das auch noch mit einem neuen Videoformat. Als Vorgeschmack gibt es nun den Trailer und anmelden kann man sich auch hier bereits zum MOOC der im März 2017 starten wird.
Ein Tipp noch, am besten ist man schaut sich das Video am Mobiltelefon oder in einer 3D-Brille (z.B. Google Cardboard) an:

[publication] Recommendations for OER Integration in Austrian Higher Education #fnma #OER #tugraz
Together with my colleagues of the austrian wide OER-working group we published our findings about „Recommendations for OER Integration in Austrian Higher Education“ at this year EADTU 2016 conference.
Abstract:
Open Educational Resources (OER) are considered an important instrument to increase access and to facilitate the reuse of learning content. Educational institutions, especially those in Higher Education, play a crucial role in the production of OER, since they are the main producers of learning materials. To foster this production, a national strategy or at a least a national commitment to OER is necessary. Moreover, due to the very strict copyright law in Austria, this achievement is of high importance and necessity. In this publication, we will introduce recommendations for the integration of OER in all Higher Education institutions in Austria; these were developed by a national workgroup consisting of different stakeholders (government, library, funder, Higher Education and special interest groups). The overall aim is to achieve sustainability for the educational sector, especially with regard to the usage of learning materials by different lecturers as well as institutions. The cooperation among various stakeholders on different levels needs to be in the centre of all further efforts, which should be based upon six explicit requirements:
- Mandatory commitment to OER
- Establishment of a nationwide information platform for exchange and cooperation
- Establishment of nationwide educational programmes for different stakeholders
- Establishment of national OER badges
- Targeted financial and structural promotion of OER
- Establishment of OER strategies within each institution and as a comprehensive approach
Each requirement will be described in more detail and a roadmap will illustrate how OER can be successfully integrated at Higher Education institutions in the next ten years.

Es gibt wieder eine neue App für unsere Mathematik-Trainer, diesesmal für das Betriebssystem Android und für den Plus-Minus-Trainer, der sich wie alle Angebote unter http://schule.learninglab.tugraz.at befindet. Dort kann man sich auch als Schule registrieren und das Angebot ohne Kosten nutzen:
Der PlusMinusTrainer ist ein Lernprogramm für Kinder, die gerade die Addition und die Subtraktion lernen.
Es gibt zwei Spielmöglichkeiten, online(der Levelmodus) und offline(der Challengemodus).
Um online zu spielen, solltet man einen Account erstellen, was aber ganz einfach ist. Der Vorteil ist das alle Beispiele online gespeichert werden und somit kann der Lernfortschritt auf der Webseite http://schule.learninglab.tugraz.at/plusminus/ verfolgt werden.
Das Speedgame ermöglicht offline zu spielen.
Außerdem bekommst du Achievements verliehen, wenn du bestimmte Meilensteine schaffst!
Benutzung von PlusminustTrainer ist der perfekte Weg sich selbst zu helfen, um deine mathematische Fähigkeiten (Addition und Substraktion) zu beherrschen.

Our chapter on „When Learning Analytics Meets MOOCs – a Review on iMooX Case Studies“ got published within the book series Communications in Computer and Information Science.
Abstract:
The field of Learning Analytics has proven to provide various solu- tions to online educational environments. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are considered as one of the most emerging online environments. Its substantial growth attracts researchers from the analytics field to examine the rich repositories of data they provide. The present paper contributes with a brief literature review in both prominent fields. Further, the authors overview their developed Learning Analytics application and show the potential of Learning Analytics in tracking students of MOOCs using empirical data from iMooX.

Im Rahmen eines hochschulübergreifenden Projekts zur Stärkung der Infrastruktur in Hörsälen haben wir 4 Leitfäden erstellt für Lehrende um übersichtlich die Möglichkeiten (Aufzeichnung, Lernvideo, Streaming & Webinar) darzustellen. Our publication on „Maker-MOOC – How to Foster STEM Education with an Open Online Course on Creative Digital Development and Construction with Children“ at this year ICL conference in publication got published.
Abstract:
The Maker Movement or do-it-yourself culture is a concept uses novel, mostly via digital applications and tools to emphasize the learning- through-doing in the social environment. This culture inspires teachers through learning by construction and is seen as an important driver for education. In this chapter, we introduce the Maker Movement and describe how it contributes to the STEM education. The authors recite their experience through the project “Maker Days for Kids” which after that, was served as a fundamental base for a following Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). This online course brought some of the emerging technologies together with an appropriate didactical pro- ject about “Making activities for classrooms” to the public. It can be concluded that the MOOC assists in fostering the STEM education by rapidly transferring knowledge to the involved teachers.
