Eigenartig – das Konzept ist eigentlich nicht wirklich neu: Die Bedienung des Menüs am Mobiltelefon durch simple Bewegung. Ich frage mich warum es eigentlich überhaupt noch nicht Einzug gehalten hat. Wahrscheinlich liegt es daran, dass es viele ungelöste Punkte gibt und dann vielleicht doch unpraktischer ist, als es beim ersten Hinschauen wirkt. Zumindest habe ich die Erfahrung gemacht, dass es zwar nett ist, aber im alltäglichen Einsatz ich dann doch lieber klassisch navigier.
Aber vielleicht ist dies ein brauchbarerer Einsatz:

[interview] People looked at me like I was an alien’

Der guardian hat ein Interview gemacht mit Danah Boyd (Social Media Researcher at Microsoft Research New England ) – rund um das Thema “Digital Natives”, wo sie beschreibt dass,

There’s nothing native about young people’s engagement with technology

Sie sieht es vielmehr so:

Young people are learning, they’re learning about the social world around them,” she says. “The social world around them today has mediated technologies, thus in order to learn about the social world they’re learning about the mediated technologies. And they’re leveraging that to work out the shit that kids have always worked out: peer sociality, status, their first crush.”

Ich stimme dem eigentlich weitgehend zu, es ist einfach zu beobachten, dass die Technologie vorhanden ist und dadurch sich Verhalten anpasst – aber letztendlich ist das soziale Verhalten immer gleich. Auch eine starke Zunahme an Wissen rund um neue Internettechnolgien konnten wir bisher kaum beobachten. Das Netz ist da und wird genutzt, das ist und bleibt ein nüchternes Faktum.
