[publication] Digital gestütztes Lehren mittels innovativem MOOC-Konzept #mooc #imoox

Wir haben unsere Erfahrungen mit dem Inverse-Blended-Learning-Konzept im Rahmen der Lehrer/innenbildung festgehalten. Der MOOC „Lehren und Lernen mit digitalen Medien“ dient dabei zur Steigerung der digitalen Kompetenzen für alle Lehramtsstudierenden. Der Beitrag ist nun erschienen im journal für lehrerinnenbildung.

Abstract:
Die Integration digitaler Medien in den Unterricht ist eine Herausforderung unserer Zeit. Daher scheint es naheliegend, dass Lehrpersonen entsprechende Bildungsmaßnahmen erfahren und insbesondere, dass dies auch in die Curricula für Lehramtsstudierende Einzug findet. Der Entwicklungsverbund Süd-Ost in Österreich hat sich dieser Herausforderung gestellt, ein Konzept zur Integration digitaler Medien entwickelt und mit Sommersemester 2019 erstmalig erfolgreich umgesetzt. Dabei wurde nach dem didaktischen Konzept Inverse-Blended-Learning ein Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Kombination mit Übungen an den beteiligten Standorten entwickelt. Die statistischen Eckdaten und das Feedback der Studierenden zeigen, dass das Konzept als sehr positiv und zeitgemäß wahrgenommen wird und es daher auch weiterverfolgt werden sollte.

[publication] Designing a Sandpit- and Co-Design-informed Innovation Process for Scaling TEL Research in Higher Education #TEL #research

We did a small contribuation titled „Designing a Sandpit- and Co-Design-informed Innovation Process for Scaling TEL Research in Higher Education“ for this year 15th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik.

Abstract:
Sustainably digitalizing higher education requires a human-centred approach. To address actual problems in teaching as well as learning and increase acceptance, the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) solution(s) must be co-designed with affected researchers, teachers, students and administrative staff. We present research-in-progress about a sandpit-informed innovation process with a f2f-marketplace of TEL research and problemmapping as well team formation alongside a competitive call phase, which is followed by a cooperative phase of funded interdisciplinary pilot teams codesigning and implementing TEL innovations. Pilot teams are supported by a University Innovation Canvas to document and reflect on their TEL innovation from multiple viewpoints.

[imoox] Tenses explained #mooc #tugraz #imoox

Diese Woche ist ein neuer MOOC gestartet mit dem klingenden Titel „Tenses explained„. Dabei geht es in diesem kurzem Online-Kurs um die Verwendung der Zeiten in der englischen Sprach – kurz und einfach erklärt von Thomas Murr. Es lohnt sich hineinzuschauen 🙂

In diesem Kurs werden alle englischen Zeitformen sowie ihre Funktionen vorgestellt und anhand von Dialogen, die deren Einsatz in realen Situationen zeigen, erarbeitet.
Nach erfolgreicher Absolvierung des Kurses sollen die TeilnehmerInnen in der Lage sein, die unterschiedlichen Tempusformen des Englischen situationsgerecht anzuwenden. Außerdem verfügen die TeilnehmerInnen über ein grundlegendes theoretisches Wissen des englischen Zeitenkontinuums.

[publication] Open Educational Resources in Austria

As part of the book Current State of Open Educational Resources in the “Belt and Road” Countries we did a chapter about the current state in Austria.

Abstract:
In Austria, located in the center of Europe, when compared earlier in relation to other German-speaking countries in Europe, individuals and groups started to develop and work on the idea of freely available and usable learning content on the Internet. A first Austrian milestone was the coordination of an international conference on open educational content in 2007 as the final activity of the first European project that was focused on OER (olcos.org). Within the contribution an overview of current state and developments of OER activities in Austria is given, also describing its infrastructure, policy, existing resources, curriculum and teaching methodologies, outcome, stakeholders and impact for education. The chapter gives a comprehensive overview of all OER activities in Austria and outlines the benefits for the educational system as well. It can be summarized that the Austrian way seems to be successful even though the steps forward are often small.

[book] Die kleine Hexe Strubbellilly #book

Mit ein wenig Stolz, darf ich heute ein Kinderbuch von Jasmin präsentieren. Im Rahmen ihrer Lehrlingsausbildung zur Medienfachfrau hat sie bei uns ein Buch selbst geschrieben, gestaltet und nun auch veröffentlicht. Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen bzw. leg ich es allen ans Herz wenn man auf der Suche nach einem Kinderbuch ist. Als Highlight gibt es auch eine Strecke für Ozobots im Buch – wenn man also einen solchen besitzt, hat man garantiert doppelten Spaß.
